There are many of you who have asked me about the reason why I chose to become a certified tea summer. Thank you - and thank you for all of you who have congratulated me.
I have been working with tea for 15 years and got a year ago the chance to take the coveted education from the acclaimed Tea Academy in Yunnan. For me, it was a unique chance to systematized my knowledge and experience of tea. At the same time, I see it as an opportunity to share my knowledge with you in a form, making it easier for each of you to choose the right teas.
In my daily work of finding and choosing new teas, I already enjoy education. I feel more confident in my choices and am quicker to excrete the best teas from the middle and the bad teas. That security will benefit you in the future.
At the same time, the certification has opened up new collaborations. You will see that in a short time when I start introducing a number of new ecolgian teas.
Already, I can lift the veil of a new tea from Colombia, which is best known for coffee and chocolate. But they can also grow tea, and here are two lovely black teas with a deep basic taste. The tea comes from a cooperative that works on the basis of a vision that production must be sustainable and the local area residents must benefit from the company's profits in the form of better education for participation, children and local NGOs.
All of the original tea is organic and it has never been for discussion. That doesn't mean I'm fanatical. In between, I find products that meet my wishes for sustainability and responsibility for people and the environment, but which are not certified. Some of them are about to become environmentally certified according to EU requirements, others meet FAOS Good Agriculture Practice, but common to them is that they grow and produce excellent products with great taste and high quality. Among the products you will find our Colombian coffee, the Ligurian olive oil and the amazing pasta from the Marche region of eastern Italy.
Good Easter.
Dearest,
Daniel
