Chawamushi means steamed food in a teacup in Japanese. Chawan (茶碗) means teacup, and mushi (蒸し) means steamed. These traditional cups with lids are often used to serve food in, typically an egg cream with chicken or shrimp in. 

This ceramic chawan mushi cup has a really nice white/raw white base with beautiful pink flower details. The cup has a beautiful, mother -of -the -art cut.
