This very beautiful Matcha bowl, also called a "Chawan," has an elegant white glaze with a slightly diffuse blue border, giving a unique and special look. The bottom of the bowl is not glazed, so the raw clay is a bit visible, which adds an interesting contrast to the glazed exterior. The glaze is neatly 'ironed' with a brush. Since everything is done by hand, irregularities and small imperfections are appreciated, which are often presented as the 'front' of the bowl. This makes each dish unique and adds character to the design.

The dish holds about 350 ml and is designed with enough space to whip matcha tea with a bamboo whisk (the chase) and drink the tea directly from the bowl, making it an indispensable part of the traditional matcha thermonia.

Important: Does not withstand dishwasher or microwave.
