Maintenance
To take good care of your teapot, it is recommended to rinse it with water after need to keep it clean and remove all tea leaves. If the filter is clogged, it can be gently cleaned with a dry toothbrush and then rinsed. Wipe the inside with a soft cloth if necessary and let the teapot air dry completely before putting the lid on. Therefore, it is a good idea to switch between multiple teapots.

Avoid completely using detergents or dishwasher as this can affect the clay's properties and the absorption of aroma. Also, do not use the teapot for different types of tea as it absorbs flavor and aroma during use; Stick to one kind of tea, such as green tea. Over time, the teapot will develop a beautiful patina and the color can be changed slightly, giving the teapot its very own character and history.

History
The city of Tokoname specializes in pottery art. Tokoname is the oldest and most important of the six old pottery centers in Japan. The city goes with the neighboring towns of Seto, Echizen, Shigaraki, Tamba and Bizen under the term "the 6 Japanese ovens". Ceramics have been produced here since the end of the Heian period (11th century). The traditional local craftsmanship is especially famous for its teapots.

The tokoname tea can be made of clay that is rich in iron oxide, which reacts with the tannins in the tea during use, removing bitterness and softening the tea to make it more flavorful.

The body and lid of the teapot are made with tap collections and the body and the lid is rubbed together separately to make a lid that fits the body's body.
