Another special piece of Banko Ware Ceramics in the form of this beautiful teapot with side handles. The side handle means that you have really good control of your teapot and your lid when you donate. A really nice way to pour your tea.

The equipped-black surface, combined with the slightly delicate pattern engraved on the outside, makes this Japanese banko yaki teapot very special.

Banko Yaki is translated into Banko Ware, a traditional Japanese stoneware ceramics created around the 18th century, and originated from the port city of Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture.

Like Tokoname ceramics, Banko Ware is well known for unique good tea ceramics and favored among tea ceremonies for its refined simplicity and because the oil from people's hands and tannin from the tea leaves gives Banko Ware a beautiful shine, the more it is used.

The best result is achieved when the tea leaves can flow freely in the teapot during the drawing. This Japanese teapot is equipped with an integrated, fine -mesh, stainless steel filter that filters the tea when serving. When the tea is done, the teapot is completely emptied - the last drop is always the best. The tea leaves will be relatively dry and can be better recycled later.

After use, the teapot should be thoroughly cleaned. Remove the tea leaves and rinse thoroughly with warm water. If necessary, wipe the teapot inside with a soft cloth. Never use detergents, neither inside, nor on the outside of the teapot. The teapot must air dry completely before the lid is applied.

Inside, the teapot is not glazed. Therefore: Never use the same tea pot for very different types of tea as the teapot will absorb aroma when brewing. Stay e.g. For black teas, green teas, etc.

Please note: The teapot is handmade and the size of the teapot itself may therefore differ slightly from the size shown.

The teapot contains approx. 290 ml.

Size: Height with lid 98 mm / Ø without handle and spout 95 mm.

Does not tolerate dishwasher.
