A cast iron teapot helps keep tea warm for longer, thereby providing a better tea experience. These beautiful teapots are often decorated on the outside with attractive patterns and were originally used to heat water over coals. Origreen's Tetsubin teapots are enameled on the inside to make them more practical for tea brewing and cleaning. Therefore, it is not possible to heat this type of teapot directly on coals, as the enamel coating will be damaged by high heat.

How to care for your cast iron teapot:

• never heat over an open flame
• when using a hob, heat the teapot at a low temperature
• never heat in a microwave
• never put teapots or teacups in the dishwasher
• never use soap for cleaning. The teapot should only be cleaned with clean water
• do not leave tea or water in the pot and dry thoroughly after use
• always wipe the outside with a dry cloth while the pot is still warm
• avoid contact with salt
• never cool the teapot when it is still hot
• the teapot is enameled inside, so use utensils that will not scratch the enamel
