Organic Jasmine Pearls "Traditional," also known as Tai Mu Long Zhu, is a classic green jasmine tea from Fujian, one of China's most traditional regions for jasmine tea. The region is known for its precise tea craftsmanship and long experience in flavoring tea with fresh flowers.
The tea is made from young, fine green tea leaves, which are hand-rolled into small, dense jasmine pearls. The pearls are flavored in several stages through repeated contact with fresh jasmine flowers, which gently transfer their natural fragrance during the long drying process.
The result is a light and elegant jasmine tea with a clean green tea base, subtle sweetness, and a floral expression without a perfumed note. In the cup, the tea is clear and bright with a soft and balanced structure.
Brewing: Pearl tea is brewed directly in a glass/mug, where the leaves can slowly unfurl. Use decalcified water if possible. Remove the kettle from the heat the moment the water begins to boil and let it cool to approx. 75–80°C if you do not have a kettle with a thermostat. Use 10–15 pearls for a glass/mug and pour the water over them. Let the tea steep until the leaves have fully unfurled. The tea is enjoyed with the leaves lying at the bottom and can be served with an extra pot of hot water. The tea leaves can be re-brewed 2–3 times, with the second infusion often considered the best. For repeated brews, you may add extra pearls to achieve the desired strength. This type of tea can be brewed in a thermal glass, where you can better enjoy the sight of the pearls unfurling.
