If your favorite is an organic aromatic tea, you are likely to be surprised by the taste the next time you buy tea. And that's a simple explanation for that.
Right now, tea producers across Europe are struggling to develop new recipes for their well-known aroma-teer. This is due to new and stricter European rules for aromatic, organic oils and the ingredients that come in the oils. The rules and requirements have the producers of organic aromatic oils difficult to live up to if they want to maintain the known taste at the same time.
Therefore, you will probably find that your tea will either taste something different than it usually does or that it is completely deleted because it is too difficult to hit the familiar taste.
At Origreen we have a number of organic aroma tea that become or are already affected by the new EU for organic, aromatic oils. Some of them will come in new versions with a taste that lies up the original taste without being completely similar. But there will also be aromatic teas that are completely out - or are out of the market for a long period of time. Therefore, on the website you will find a little more often aromatic teas that are sold out and may not come again. We only take the tea of the webshop when we know the tea is tiring completely.
In our own range of aromatic teas, there will be no changes. We introduced the first aromatic teas in the original brand a year ago. At that time, the new rules were already known and we have therefore avoided aromatic oils that have been affected by the new rules.
We know from bitter experience that it is "down" when one's favorite or coffee changes flavor, but you do not have to despair. In the original series of aromatic oils, we have cuddled the taste and developed a strip of teas that meet most flavors. From the light floral teas on white and green tea to black teas with lots of citrus notes and flowers.
