An exciting organic Colombian tea from the La Cauca region. Colombia is best known for coffee production - where the origreen also gets our Alma Colombiana from - but tea has been grown in Colombia since the 1950s. 

Emerald Sweet Ruby Teen is grown on volcanic soil relatively high up for approx. 1800-2050 m above sea level on the west side of the Andes. Sweet Emerald Ruby has a nice, clear amber color in the cup and is more powerful in taste than its sisters, Emerald Black. Taste notes of chocolate, cocoa and raisins.

Bryg Sweet Emerald Ruby in a preheated teapot - preferably with lime -free water. Take off the boiler when the water starts to boil. Use a teaspoon of tea (3 grams) per day. cup (2 dl) and pour the water over the tea leaves immediately. Let the tea pull for 4-5 minutes under a tea cap. The temperature should not fall to below 90 degrees while the tea pulls.

A little about the tea farm and why the Origreen has chosen to import tea from Colombia:

• The area extends over 125 hectares of land, of which only 62 hectares are used for tea production. The rest is wild nature where there are cattle that help ensure biodiversity.
• The tea farm is committed and involved in sponsoring nearby schools and institutions with teaching material, financial support and assistance where possible, to improve the quality of local teaching.
• They are constantly buying nearby jungle/forest and Freder this to ensure larger habitats in one of Colombia's most biodiverse areas. 
• All employees receive financial education and learning in savings techniques, as many employees and locals come from poor conditions and are thereby cut off from the traditional banking system.
