We've got another fantastic wazuqu teapot home. It is really beautiful, the brown shades and the golden handle. A perfect combination, quite simply.

The best Japanese designers manage to create iconic design expressed through a simple, stylish and tight design language that leads the mind to Danish design.

This also applies to this teapot from the Iron Foundry Kikuchi Hojudo. It is a distinguished example of modern Japanese design with roots for hundreds of years of craftsmanship techniques and experience. The iron foundry was founded all the way back in 1604, when the clientele has been especially the imperial court, and today the foundry is known for both classic and modern Japanese design.

Therefore, it is with pride and joy that we can introduce this beautiful and iconic teapot from Kikuchi Hojudo's internationally recognized Wazuque line.

These teapots are probably the most beautiful we have had to date.

Application and maintenance

Before using the teapot:

Kikuchi Hojudo recommends that you wash it inside with a mild soap before commissioning. This is the first and only time you need soap and only inside, then you only need hot water. Use a soft sponge and rinse with warm water.

Wipe the jug with a soft, clean cloth while the jug is still warm and then let it air dry.

Cleaning in connection with use:

On a daily basis, simply rinse the jug with warm water after use. Let the individual parts air dry before reassembling the teapot.

General information about your cast iron pot:

When you use the teapot on a daily basis, a thin mineral layer will form over time, which helps to strengthen the tea's flavor and scent notes.

Avoid the teapot coming into contact with salt and oil, this will destroy the outer finish of the teapot.

Do not place the teeth directly on a hob, regardless of the type, to boil water or reheat the tea. Also, the jug must not be used in a microwave.

Do not leave the teapot overnight with a leftover tea and/or tea leaves.

Do not soak the teapot in water, nor does it can withstand being washed off in the dishwasher.

The teapot holds 0.55 l, it is glazed inside, and a stainless steel sieve is included, which is easily cleaned under the hot cock. The teapot is made of lead -free cast iron.
