Tetsubin cast iron pad of 0.9 liters in red and golden with stainless steel tea filter.
Tetsubin cast iron tiles originate from Japan. These beautiful teapots are often decorated on the outside with neat patterns and were originally used to warm water over coal. The Origrens Tetsubin Teapots are glazed with enamel on the inside to make them more convenient for tea brewing and cleaning. Therefore, it is not possible to heat this type of teapot directly on coal as the enamel coating is destroyed at high heat.
How to take care of your cast iron tiles:
Never heat over open fire
When using a hob the teapot is heated at low temperature
Never heat in microwave oven
Never get teapot or teacups in the dishwasher
Never use soap for cleaning. The teapot is only cleaned with clean water
Do not leave tea or water in the jug and dry thoroughly after use
Always wipe the outside with a dry cloth while the jug is still hot
Avoid contact with salt or oil
never cool the teapot when still hot
The teapot is enameled inside, therefore use kitchen equipment that does not scratch the enamel
